From crocheter to web developer
I would never have thought that development of my own website would be so challenging. I delayed it for weeks or even months, thinking it was too complicated and that I needed more time or skill. It seems a little strange, considering what I do or used to do for a living. However, as graphic designer, product owner or even aspiring UX designer I had never done web development fully by myself. Until I discovered no-code options and tried one out.
Another thing is that it is sometimes hard to decide on the content and look and feel of your own website, especially when it is about your beloved hobby, that you put so much energy and emotions into. Some unexplained inner pressure makes you think it has to be the best of the best. This happens to me a lot, in so many aspects of my life. My perfectionism can make me feel overwhelmed and unable to take any action.
It usually ends up the same way. I just have to start and realise that it is all in my head. So, I built my website bit by bit and enjoyed it. And yes, there were ups and downs along the way, but once I got the hang of it, the process became exciting. It took me a week from start to finish, and I think I've found my new passion. But seriously, I'm genuinely thrilled to present my brand new crocheting website, my imperfect-perfect digital creation, where I show off my products and offer my services. Feel free to visit it and get to know me and my crocheting a little better.
